| Recently Damen Dredging Equipment signed a contract with the Spanish yard NODOSA to supply the dredging gear for a 1.200 m3 split hopper. The hopper, which is currently under construction, has been designed by the Spanish naval architect F. CARCELLER. It will be fitted out with a 500 mm starboard side trailing pipe, which will work at max 30 m dredging depth.
Apart from the trailing pipe and the hoisting gear, complete with swell compensator, Damen will deliver all dredge valves, overflows and the jetwater canons plus the jetwater pump. The vessel will be completely finished and handed over to its owner CANLEMAR early 2011.
