AMORIS
The “Amoris” is an electrically driven cutter suction dredger, type ECSD450, powered by a high voltage shore cable. The dredger is fitted out with a swing ladder not requiring side wires for the dredgers’ swing action. To ensure continuous dredging, the stationary dredger is provided with 4 spuds and 2 spud carriages. The dredger is designed to work at a dredging depth of max -18 m.
The “Amoris” has been designed for the Antwerp harbour, where a large scale clean-up project of contaminated silt has been started in early 2011. The silt will be treated and dewatered, after which it is disposed of in a responsible way.
